Maximum 8 hours per battery. Disconnect as soon as charging is complete, even if less than 8 hours. Do not leave it charging to reach 8 hours. If it has not charged normally by then, disconnect and contact sales@coastlineebikes.com.au.

Use only the supplied compatible charger, let the battery cool first, and charge while awake and present. Never leave charging unattended or overnight. The same limit applies to each Voyager battery.

Yes. E-bikes are legal in Australia when they comply with national e-bike standards.

In general, compliant e-bikes must:

• Use pedal assist (motor works while pedalling)
• Have a maximum motor output of 250W
• Provide assistance up to 25 km/h, after which the motor cuts out
• Follow standard bicycle road rules such as helmet use and bike path regulations

Regulations can vary slightly between states, so riders should check their local road authority for the latest information.

The bike comes with a 12-month limited warranty for any manufacturing defects.

1. Ensure the batteries are turned on.

2. Hold the On/Off button on the left hand side of the handle bar, next to the '+' and '-' buttons.

3. Tap NFC keycard on the FAR right hand side of the screen.

4. If you have lost the NFC keycard, use the code '0000'

1. Turn the bike on.

2. Hold the ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons simultaneously.

3. Click the off button to get to ‘06’.

7. Press ‘+’ twice to change the setting to ‘002’.

8. The speed is now unrestricted and the throttle is activated.

Charging

Use only the supplied or manufacturer-recommended compatible battery and charger. For the current Rider and Voyager, the battery is HYY1859083 and the charger is JY-546200. Let the battery cool after use. Charge while awake and present, for no more than 8 hours per battery, and disconnect as soon as full.

Charge in an open, dry, ventilated area on a non-combustible surface away from beds, sofas, carpets and other flammable material. Keep doorways and escape routes clear. Keep a working smoke alarm in the charging and storage area. Never leave charging unattended or overnight.

Storage and fire prevention

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, moisture and impact. Let batteries cool before storage. Keep the bike, battery and charger away from exits. Do not modify, open or attempt to repair the battery or electrical components. Use a qualified repair person.

Damage, overheating or fire

Stop using or charging damaged equipment, including batteries that have been immersed in water. Warning signs include unusual heat, swelling, blistering, discolouration, leaking, strong odours, hissing, popping, smoke or fumes. Never touch a swollen or ruptured battery with bare hands.

If there are sparks, smoke or flames: evacuate, stay outside and call Triple Zero (000). Close doors if safe. Do not carry a smoking or burning battery or try to fight the fire. Seek urgent medical help following exposure to electrolyte, debris, smoke, vapours or flames.

Removing a battery for recycling

Switch off the bike and battery, unplug the charger and let the battery cool. Support the battery, unlock the mount with the supplied key, then slide the battery up and out. Repeat for both Voyager batteries. Do not force the mount, open the casing or short the terminals. If damaged, hot, swollen or leaking, do not remove it yourself; contact us or an appropriate specialist for advice. For sparks, smoke or flames, follow the emergency instructions above.

Recycling

Do not dispose of this vehicle or components of this vehicle in household or kerbside garbage bins. When disposing of this vehicle or components of this vehicle, check the applicable local waste and disposal laws.

Do not put batteries in household recycling or ordinary battery collection bins. Contact your council or a specialist e-bike battery recycler and confirm acceptance before visiting. Disclose damage and obtain safe handling and transport advice.
